Wind and rain hit the All Fools Meet

The 34th All Fools Meet opened on Friday evening with a lovely flight. The weather then deteriorated quickly and no further flights have been possible.

Having only managed one flying slot over the week end it has been decided to celebrate, what we hope will be some more reliable weather in June, when the Black Horse Summer Solstice Meet takes place.

All balloonists who completed their registration for the All Fools Meet will have free entry to the Summer Solstice Meet and we hope to attract more than the 22 balloons we had registered for the All Fools Meet 2016.

During the blustery weather the pilot briefing tent ripped free of its moorings and became something of a wet crumpled mess in the corner of the field so we are on the hunt for a slightly more robust marquee. If you have any ideas that might help please let us know.

BIg thanks to the management and staff at the Black Horse Pub. Their help and flexibility has been fantastic and we all look forward to working with them again to make the Summer Solstice a brilliant experience for pilots, crew and everyone involved.
