Grounded !

This is indeed a very difficult period for all of us, as we live through a situation that will be remembered for decades to come as the biggest social and economic shock to hit the world since the great depression of the 1930s. 

The impact on each one of us is very different depending on our domestic situation and the jobs we do. Our thoughts go out to the relatively small number of people upon whom we all depend for our well-being, in the event that we pick up the virus.

The Black Horse Ballooning club has decided to

cease flying and gathering until further notice

If you are new to Ballooning or are interested in knowing more about the sport please rummage around the website, and feel free to get in touch so that when the world returns to normal you can get involved as we can take to the skies again.

Pilots may be concerned about the impact of the lack of flying on their license status. The CAA has reacted with alacrity and issued the following guidance​:
